![]() Enigma hasn't made an album like it since, and even among the discography it also stands apart. I was a big fan of the more atmospheric pieces like "Shadows In Silence" and "Almost Full Moon" (I love that electric piano synth). Cretu sings on most of it, which was a little unusual, but he gave us some amazing tracks in "Why", "Beyond The Invisible", and "Morphing Thru Time". More "new-agey" than before, this one has a ton of iconic tracks as well. Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! - Enigma officially moved out of Top 40 with this one (in America, anyway) but this was a pretty outstanding album.This was an album that took over my life when it came out. And the entire second half from "Look of Today" through to "Following The Sun" is just one continuous stream of perfection. The title track sounds sophisticated and classy, "Incognito" is an unusual masterpiece, "Boum-Boum" is dreamy perfection. Nothing here is recycled (save from the tiniest of allusions to "Sadeness (Part 1)"), and the sounds that Cretu formulated were all new. ![]() This album is so unique-sounding.not just from most music in general, but even from Enigma's own catalog. Voyageur - This may be a controversial #1, but I can't think of another album more deserving.I realize this sub isn't very active, but if anyone is listening, how would you rank Enigma's albums?
